Reviewers help even the playing field for international scholars

No matter where scholars live and work, publishing is the cornerstone of their research careers. But publication is a bigger challenge for some scholars than others. Those who work in developing countries do not have access to the same equipment, facilities or libraries as those in the industrialized world. The good news, said Diane Belcher, associate professor of applied linguistics, is that journal reviewers can help these ‘off-network’ scholars get their work into print.
