Welcome to the Honors Program

Georgia State University's Honors Program offers high-achieving and highly motivated students the resources to excel academically and to prepare for successful professional careers. Honors students have access to individualized advisement, small classes and seminars, priority registration, and special housing in the Community of Scholars in the University Lofts. The Honors Program also provides dedicated facilities for seminars, study, computer use, and conversation. Honors students work with accomplished faculty on directed and independent research projects, and may take advantage of special opportunities for study abroad. Most important, perhaps, the Honors Program provides a community of talented students and the environment of a small, selective college in the midst of a large, comprehensive university.  The Honors Program is open to incoming freshmen, transfer students, and current Georgia State students who meet the criteria for Admission.  Applications may be submitted at any time.
