How do I know who my advisor is at GSU?
While at Georgia State, you have two advisors. You have an academic advisor in the Office of Academic Assistance and you have a faculty advisor in your major department. What is the difference?

Email an Academic Advisor
If you have a question concerning academic advisement for the College of Arts & Sciences, please email us. We will respond to your question in a timely and thorough manner. Please find your major listed above and simply click on your advisor's name.
Please note that we cannot discuss confidential information via email (e.g., your GPA or academic standing).
Faculty Advisor:
Your faculty advisor is assigned through your major department. Faculty advisors can assist you with any questions concerning your major courses, internships, study abroad programs, and transfer credit evaluation for upper level courses.
* We recommend that you meet with both your academic advisor and your faculty advisor while at Georgia State.
* Please note that if you have less than 42 semester hours or are an undeclared/undecided major, you are advised in the Student Advisement Center (SAC Office).
